Mikhail Usher, Esq.
Mike Usher, Esq. is the founder and principle member of Usher Law Group P.C. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College (CUNY) where he received a Bachelor's in Political Science. After graduating college, Mike worked as the head of purchasing for an international furniture import and distribution company. Mike went on to go to Saint Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida.
During Law School Mike was a Senator for the Student Bar Association, as well as a competing member for the National Champion St. Thomas University Mock Trial Team where he earned high honors. While in law school, he was also a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Amy Steele Donner in Dade County, Florida.
After taking the New York and New Jersey Bar Examination, Mike began working for Smotritsky Law Group PLLC. in Brooklyn, New York where he focused primarily on Immigration Law, Criminal Law, Employment Law and Consumer Protection Law. During his tenure at Smotritsky Law Group, Mr. Usher developed the Criminal Division of the firm. He also took and passed the Florida Bar Examination.
After three years at Smotritsky Law Group, Mike decided to start his own law firm. Since inception, Usher Law Group P.C. has been handling cases ranging from deportation defense, criminal defense, foreclosure, child custody, divorce matters, consumer protection, business compliance, employment law, landlord tenant law and real estate matters.
He is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Associations, American Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, and New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Usher is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Florida State, Mr. Usher is also admitted in various Fedeal Courts including the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of New York, The Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York, Federal District Court of New Jersey, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals as well as The U.S. Department of Justice Executive Office of Immigration Review (Immigration Court).
Stanley Smotritsky, Esq.
Stanley Smotritsky, Esq., specializes in immigration and bankruptcy law. Mr. Smotritsky is a graduate of Rutgers University and Brooklyn Law School. He also handles Debt Collector Harrassment and Personal Injury.
Mr. Smotritsky began his legal career at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office where he worked as a Community Associate in the Early Case Assessment Bureau while attending law school. After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Smotritsky became an Associate with a prominent New Jersey Immigration Law Firm - The Law Offices of Isabella Mayzel. As an Associate with Isabella Mayzel's Office, Mr. Smotritsky learned all aspects and intricacies of Immigration Law. He represented clients in Immigration Courts and before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. After resigning from the Law Offices of Isabella Mayzel, Mr. Smotritsky worked as a Contract Attorney for Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, & Loewy, LLP . the largest and the most prestigious Immigration Firm in the U.S. In that position, Mr. Smotritsky concentrated on the Employment-based area of Immigration Law. He assisted multinational managers, executives, and professionals in obtaining work visas and permanent residency in the United States. Since 2007, Mr. Smotritsky founded and spearheads the Smotritsky Law Group.
Stanley Smotritsky is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, New York's Eastern and Southern Federal Districts, and is admitted to practice Immigration Law in all 50 states. He is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Associations, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and New Jersey State Bar Association.
Thomas Mirigliano, Esq.
Thomas Mirigliano, Esq is a skilled attorney focused on criminal defense and civil litigation in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Mirigliano is a graduate of Seton Hall University and Saint Thomas University School of Law. While in law school he served as judicial Intern to the Honorable Darryl E. Trawick at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Criminal Division and was a member of the National Champion mock trial team.
He is an associate of the widely respected criminal defense attorney, Thomas R. Ashley, successfully defending clients charged with various types of criminal charges ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies.
Jason Valentin, Esq.
Jason Valentin, Esq. is a seasoned commercial and civil litigation attorney. Mr. Valentin is a graduate of SUNY Purchase and Saint Thomas University School of Law.
A strong proponent of human rights, Mr. Valentin has litigated against the Archdiocese for molestation cases while employed at the Law Office of Douglas Jeffries. His specialties include commercial and civil litigation. Mr. Valentin currently focuses on all aspects immigration law.
Mr. Valentin is also a retired US National Guard Officer and a first responder to the 9/11 Tragedy in New York City. Mr. Valentin is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the US Department of Justice Executive Office Of Immigration Review (Immigration Court).
Krista L. Thompson, Esq.
Krista L. Thompson is an attorney with extensive experience in family law, intellectual property law, business development and immigration law.
Mrs. Thompson is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Jersey and Saint Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida. While at Saint Thomas University Ms. Thompson achieved Deans List honors.
Ms. Thompson has gained experience in multiple practice areas including immigration law, family law and intellectual property law. Ms. Thompson connects directly with clients on a very personal level to make sure that each client’s needs are uniquely addressed and handled with great care. Ms. Thompson always endeavors to put the client's needs first as they are of supreme importance to her. Ms. Thompson always makes sure that each client can reach her at any time either via telephone and electronic correspondence.
